Late Easter Camp at Collie

This year we will be camping at the Collie River Tourist Park. Proposed activities include walking on parts of the Bibbulmun Track and spending a day on President Mandy and Mike Bamford’s property. We will gather for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles in the evenings at the caravan park, and we plan to dine out on the Thursday night. The main activities will be on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so we suggest you book for four nights – 8 - 11 May and arrive by midday on the Monday, when we will meet in the covered area.
To take part in the camp you will need to join the WA Naturalists' Club. Please contact Maureen Gardner on 0435 836 647, ahead of time in order to be approved as a member.
You will need to book your own accommodation or a tent or caravan site. You can do that by ringing the Park on 9734 2051. Book early to make sure you secure a place. Let them know that you are part of the Nats Club group and they will give you a discount of $5 per member per night. They have ensuite cabins with kitchenette for $85/night, cabins without ensuite for $75/night plus $10 per person/night for extras, and a caravan with annexe site for $140/night. There is alternative or overflow accommodation at the Collie Ridge Motel (9734 6666) and at the Colliefields Backpackers (Michelle 9734 2052).
Please let one of us know if you’re planning to come.
