In 2015, "Friends of Sorrento Beach & Marmion Foreshore" (FoSB-MF) extended their multi-year coast care project area south to Beach Rd. The whole extended area is being weeded out intensively prior to the planting of another 3,500 seedlings in July and August 2016. The section between Beach Rd and Lennard Str in Marmion still needs to have all the "dune onion weed" levered out.
So come along and join in at 8:30am, specialist tools provided, cup of coffee and snack at 10:30am. Parking on the southern side of Troy Ave, Marmion. Great views of the coast as you work guaranteed! You might see dolphins and an osprey.
