Get crafty with re-purposed materials
Ask a Mum what gifts she cherishes and the answer will inevitably be things that have involved care, creativity, and thought. You can make your own creation for this Mother's Day at Perth's REmida.

REmida is a re-use centre which takes discarded materials, imperfect products and other objects from around Perth and gives them new life and purpose, challenging the idea of waste in the process. The materials are made available to schools, childcare centres and families.
On the 7th May they will open their doors for a free event where you can access their materials to create something unique… not a pipe cleaner in sight!

As Paul Armishaw from REmida explained, the event will "focus on using non-craft based materials, using the items we have collected from our suppliers".

Visitors to REmida's Mother's Day event can also enjoy a free sausage sizzle on-site. Bring mum along to do some creating, or make something to surprise her!

The event is being held at the REmida premises, 1 Prospect Place West Perth. Look for their building between Prospect Place and Newcastle Street.
