Sustainable Energy Now

Sustainable Energy Now (SEN) promotes practical, affordable strategies for a sustainable global future by the adoption of renewable energy. SEN is a dynamic and independent WA association.

SEN are working to raise awareness of how a mix of renewable energy technologies are able to meet all of Western Australia’s electricity needs, with a particular focus on WA’s main electricity grid, called the South West Interconnected System (SWIS). The renewable energy types that SEN believe are most suited to WA include: solar, wind, wave, geothermal and biomass.

SEN defines Sustainable Energy as energy that is renewable within a human lifetime and can be produced safely and equitably for all time with minimal impact on the environment and future inhabitants. SEN believes this does not include nuclear power with its many unresolved issues.

Transport is not SEN's current focus but as transport becomes more electrified, renewable energy will further clean up our energy use. For more details visit the Australian Electric Vehicle Association AEVA.
