Join the Conservation Council of WA for our fourth Environment Matters event of 2025: Julimar Uncovered!
Join us in Toodyay on the evening of Friday, September 5, for a special event kicking off the 2025 Julimar Bioblitz. Held in the heart of Julimar country, in partnership with the Julimar Conservation Alliance, this two-hour forum will bring together scientists, conservationists, and community members to explore the rich biodiversity of Julimar State Forest, a vital ecological corridor and proposed national park.
The forum will feature engaging talks from biodiversity experts, practical guidance for those participating in the weekend’s citizen science surveys, and opportunities to connect with field leaders and fellow volunteers.
We're excited to announce our line up of guest speakers!
- Robert Miles - Welcome to Country
- Jason Fowler (WAFA) – The key threats facing Julimar
- Daniel Heald – BioBlitz: What, How, and Why
- Max Howard – Discover the birdlife of the forest
- Julianne Waldock – Fascinating talk on the spiders of Julimar
- Dr Kit Prendergast – Hands-on workshop: How to survey native bees
