This event will exhibit some amazing images of the magnificent marine life of Ningaloo Reef.
Indian Ocean Imagery will be the main exhibitor and display extraordinary images of whale sharks, manta rays, humpbacks and other incredible sea creatures photographed over ten years out on Ningaloo Reef.
The photographer, Leith Holtzman will be available to chat about his years at Ningaloo, sharing many anecdotes about sights seen and adventures had. Leith’s book Ningaloo: Reflections on the Reef will be on show and available for purchase and signing across the five evenings of the exhibition.
At the Opening Night event from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Wednesday 20 April, Leith will speak at 6.00pm about his years of work leading whale shark tours and taking extraordinary videos of whale sharks and other sea life at Ningaloo.
Further exhibits will be on show of some of the delightful images which illustrate the children’s book Torri the Green Sea Turtle: A Trilogy of Eco-Adventures. The illustrator, Renato Simionato, used real life photography as a base for these images. He will be available to talk about his enjoyment in creating these wonderful illustrations. The first book of the trilogy is titled Torri the Great Reef Surfing Turtle, and the second is titled Torri and Friends at Ningaloo Reef. Both books will be available for purchase across the five evenings of the exhibition. The third in the series, Torri Goes Eco-Exploring will be released later this year.
