Raelene Bruinsma is a singer songwriter, singing teacher, storyteller, singing leader and registered music therapist. She believes that music - especially song - is the greatest communicator and the greatest connector of people to each other and strives to make singing accessible and enjoyable for all comers regardless of experience, and to balance a good musical result with a sense of fun and community.
Working Voices is a band of feisty angels with a love of singing and social justice. Our roots are in the union movement from 26 years ago, and we grew into a more eclectic choir with time. We retain some of the union repertoire, but we love to sing songs of environmental healing, social justice, and hope. Our songs are funny, poignant, sad, passionate, hopeful, and beautiful. We welcome newcomers. No auditions, & no experience necessary.
