Join us for a special evening event at Yanchep National Parkย as part of the Great Southern BioBlitz 2025!
As the sun sets, weโll head into the bush to discover the hidden world of nocturnal wildlife. Youโll be assisting with the Great Southern BioBlitz by using iNaturalist to record the animals and plants you see โ helping to build a snapshot of local biodiversity.
๐ฟ Whatโs happening on the night?
- Use bat detectors to listen in on echolocating insectivorous bats
- Observe a variety of insects at the moth trap
- Take part in an iNaturalist bioblitz, recording your sightings
- Spot other nocturnal wildlife around the bushland
- Learn how citizen science helps conserve urban biodiversity
๐ฆ A great opportunity for nature-lovers and curious minds to experience the bush at night and contribute to an international biodiversity project!

- Torch or headlamp (preferably with red light)
