Program Manager - Clean State

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a driven, strategic, and dynamic leader, ready to take this highly successful program to the next level. Their central mission will be to lead the Clean State program team to drive broad-based mainstream support for action on climate change in one of the world’s most energy-intensive economies.
You will be responsible for managing a high-impact, committed, and results-driven team of staff and volunteers, and delivering a program that includes strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, community and government relations that delivers broad-based, mainstream support for action on climate change in Western Australia.
KEY DETAILS
- Location: The position is based in West Perth, Western Australia. We are open to considering remote/flexible working arrangements or assisting in relocation for the right candidate.
- Salary guide: $100,000 - 110,000 p/a + super, dependent on skills and experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Programs Director and key campaign partners to lead the development of compelling strategies that support campaign goals
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve campaign objectives
- Act as a spokesperson for Clean State in the media and events
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Demonstrated track record of success in strategic communications and project management
- Personal drive to make change and achieve results, with the ability to work under pressure and manage complex stakeholder interests
- Demonstrated success in developing strategic partnerships and relationships with a broad range of stakeholder groups
- Experience in managing a high-performing team
Desirable
- An understanding of climate change policy, economics and politics, especially at the State level here in Western Australia
- An understanding of advocacy, particularly around climate change and related issues
