WA is dangerously close to having a uranium mine - add your voice to keep WA uranium free

Mulga Rock is the last of four uranium mine proposals in WA - it is the only one at risk of becoming a mine. Mulga Rock is in the Yellow Sandplain Priority Ecological Community in the Great Victoria Desert, on Upurli Upurli Nguratja (country). It is home to the endangered Sandhill Dunnart, the vulnerable brush-tailed mulgara, rich with sand dunes, grass trees and mulga.

Deep Yellow intend to clear 3,709ha of native vegetation, is licensed to take 15 million litres of water a day and produce 32 million tonnes of radioactive waste, which threatens groundwater for thousands of years. This project puts workers, communities and the environment at risk.

Traditional Owners, unions, environment, health and faith groups have united to keep WA uranium free. Now we need you to add your voice too. Please sign and share the WA Uranium Free Charter and stand united to stop uranium mining and protect Mulga Rock.

If you are part of an organisation that would like to sign the charter, please e-mail [email protected]
