Gifts in wills

Leaving CCWA a gift in your Will

CCWA supporters care passionately about protecting WA and many of our generous funders want to ensure their support lives on and that WA's iconic nature is safeguarded for future generations to enjoy.

Preparing your Will is the best way to make sure your wishes and intentions are followed and ensure that you leave a lasting legacy you can be proud of.

After providing for loved ones, many Australians embrace the opportunity to leave a gift to an organisation close to their heart. It’s simple to leave a gift in your Will (known legally as a Bequest).

Suggested wording when leaving a gift in your Will

If you wish to make a bequest to CCWA, it is important to include the correct wording in your Will:

I give, devise and bequeath to the Conservation Council of Western Australia (CCWA) the following (specify type of gift) and direct that a receipt signed by the Executive Director, or any other authorised officer of CCWA shall form valid discharge to my Trustees/Executor.

ABN 35 982 476 107, of 1186 Hay Street, West Perth, Western Australia, 6005 for purposes that it shall determine, and this bequest will be free from all duties,

 (ABN): 35 982 476 107

  • The rest and residue of my Estate or
  •                                 percent of my Estate or
  •                                 percent of the residue of my Estate or
  • The sum of  $                                  free of all duties and testamentary expenses for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of that organisation shall be sufficient discharge to my executors for this bequest.
