Kalamunda Film Night: Fractured State

Please come along to Kalamunda Zig Zag Cultural Centre to watch a free screening of 'Fractured State' followed with discussions on fracking in Western Australia.

Fracking is a highly risky method of extracting gas that involves pumping hundreds of chemicals into deep wells to fracture rock through our aquifers. The US Environmental Protection Agency says it causes permanent damage to water.

Unconventional gas mining or "fracking" is so much closer than you may think, with licenses having been granted in the Swan Valley - which is just next door!
