Gas Exploration in the Capel Shire - What does that mean?

Bunbury Energy have applied for permits to explore for shale gas across large areas of the Capel Shire which would require fracking or other uncoventional methods to extract the gas. Toxic chemicals are injected into the ground and only relatively small amounts of gas are recovered- what happens to all those chemicals and the rest of the gas?

Since the application for a permit to explore for gas many people have voiced concerns for our water, land, health and agricultural and tourism industries. This is an opportunity to find out more information and have a discussion with your community.
