The WA Government is proposing a marine park for the North Kimberley region of the Kimberley Coast, the heart of the world’s most pristine tropical coastline.

Under the proposed plans for the North Kimberley Marine Park, eight new marine sanctuaries will be created, but vulnerable areas including important coral reefs and mangrove forests will be left open to damaging commercial fishing and mining.
