They Saw A Thylacine

By HUMAN ANIMAL EXCHANGE

Performing Lines Tour

The ghost of one of Australia’s lost beauties, the Thylacine, aka the Tasmanian tiger, emerges in this lyrical tale of adversity and extinction.

Writer/performers Justine Campbell and Sarah Hamilton weave a feisty and funny performance with all the suspense of a campfire story. They play characters Alison Reid, daughter of the last curator at Hobart’s Beaumaris Zoo, and Beatrice McCullough, a trapper hunting the rare Thylacine. These two rebellious and gutsy women are on a quest not just to protect a threatened creature, but themselves.

An intriguing blend of fact and fiction, this show reveals the fragility of our ecosystem and how small acts of ignorance can have enormous consequences.

Suitable for audiences aged 14 years and over.
