Back From The Brink | 1 Oh! 1

An introduction to making our voices heard for nature.

This is part of the WA Environment Movement Training & Workshop Series

The greatest loss of biodiversity in Australia is occurring in WA.

Hundreds of species are threatened with extinction, with thousands more at risk. This place is home, it is habitat and it is Country. If we don’t speak up for our forests, who will?

As someone who wants to protect the environment, express your interest in joining this upcoming skills and information workshop held by Conservation Council of WA and friends.

The first workshop will be focussed on our Northern Jarrah Forest, which is at risk of collapse due to climate change. Bauxite mining by Alcoa and South32 continues to devastate this ecosystem. Bauxite mining is now the leading cause of deforestation in the Southwest. It is pushing WA’s jarrah forest — and the threatened and vulnerable species that depend on it — to the brink.

Together, we can bring nature back from the brink.
