WA is already better by nature — but we need to do better for nature.
We have some of the best national and conservation parks on the planet — but with the many, and increasing, threats to nature in WA we need to do a better job of looking after it.
Without action we risk losing the places, species and stories that makes WA so special.
That's why Conservation Council of WA is backing practical, proven solutions to better protect nature.
WA Better by Nature is a growing alliance of conservation organisations, Traditional Owner groups, and nature advocates working together to expand and strengthen WA’s network of protected areas. Together, we’re pushing for Australia to meet its global commitment to protect at least 30% of land by 2030 — and calling for the federal government to deliver the funding needed to make that happen in WA.
We need you to act now to make sure we have a future where WA’s favourite places aren’t at risk of being lost, and where our landscapes, animals, plants and culture are protected, celebrated and passed on — in even better shape — to future generations.
That’s where you come in. Sign up to help us grow and show support for WA’s network of protected areas through
- New world-class, jointly managed national parks
- Indigenous-led conservation
- Public-private partnerships that revitalise conservation covenanting and stewardship in WA
- Large-scale private protected areas
