Join us to invite Perth to Scott Reef Rising at our biggest doorknock yet! - 7th November
Scott Reef Rising will be the biggest display of public support for Scott Reef yet, with thousands expected to come together on November 21st for an unforgettable night of music, art and ocean wonder. 🎶🕺🐟
Will you help us invite the streets of Perth?
Woodside's Browse gas export proposal is a disaster for our climate and for Scott Reef - but it has no state or federal approvals. 🐋
We're doorknocking the streets of Perth to:
-
Build evidence of community opposition to gas by collecting survey data
-
Spread the word about what is proposed at Scott Reef
- Grow the movement by inviting people to attend the festival
Community pressure can force our politicians to advocate for Scott Reef, and local MPs know that another door knocked = another person in their electorate who knows how Scott Reef is threatened and wants them to protect it.
In July this year, we set ourselves the challenge to host our biggest doorknock yet, our incredible volunteers knocked on over 300 doors in one morning. 🎉
On the 7th of November, not only are we set on beating our record, we also want to invite as many people to Scott Reef Rising as possible. We'll need all hands on deck.
Will you join us, and invite a friend?
In this two-hour doorknock session, we’ll tell you everything you need to know, pair you up with a buddy, and be there to answer any questions.
At the end of the session, we'll have a coffee together to celebrate your hard work. Every doorknocker will go home with a free Save Scott Reef tote bag!🎉
What to expect:
- 10 am - Mini-training, pair up, and start doorknocking 👋
- 12:15 pm - Debrief and tally the results 🐳
- 12:30 pm - Join us for a coffee or bite to eat at a nearby cafe. We'll share the location on the day ☕
All are welcome, and no experience is needed. To make this our biggest doorknock yet, we need all hands on deck 💪
