Mark is an expert in green building design and sits on technical boards for various groups including the Green Building Council of Australia and the UDIA’s EnviroDevelopment framework. Mark works for Josh Byrne, well known from the ABC’s Gardening Australia, whose consultancy firm is specialises in innovative approaches to integrating landscape, water systems and the built environment.
Mark will talk about Josh’s House, a 10-star energy efficient research project and family home in Hilton, WA. Mark will give an overview of the project and indications from the data that is beginning flow from the first years of operation. Josh’s House has been back in the news recently with the installation of one of the first domestic energy storage systems in WA; Mark will talk about the energy storage system and how this technology is going mainstream in a hurry.

Griff will be speaking about green building design and is an expert in sustainability, and also helped build the 10 star efficiency home of Josh Byrne.
