Our turtles and reefs won’t survive without strong nature laws.
Join us on Monday 29 July to call on Premier Cook to defend WA’s nature with strong nature laws!
Fossil fuel giant Woodside is doubling down on its dangerous plans for gas expansion, threatening the precious Scott Reef with its disastrous plan to drill into the Browse basin.
We urgently need strong nature laws that stop new fossil fuel developments and protect our oceans and marine life.
At this critical moment, the WA Government is poised to introduce nature law reforms to Parliament this August. There’s a danger that these reforms could weaken the few defences currently in place, accelerating the destruction of our fragile environment.
We’ll be showing up to give voice to the turtles that are at risk of losing their habitats from offshore oil and gas projects like Woodside’s Burrup Hub, and the reefs that are at risk of collapse due to climate change. We’ll have turtle masks for you to wear if you would like to join in on the fun!
Make sure you also turn up on Tuesday 6 August when MPs return to Parliament, to make some noise and call on the WA Government to stop undermining our nature laws and instead ensure better protections for nature! RSVP for the Parliament action here.
