Environment Matters will present a discussion on mine closure looking at Ranger uranium mine in the NT and Collie coal mine in WA as case studies. We will explore rehabilitation opportunities for the environment and employment and look at the importance of corporate accountability. With speakers Dave Sweeney from the Australian Conservation Foundation, Mia Pepper from the Mineral Policy Institute, Phil Gorey from the Department of Mines and Petroleum and Gary Woods from the CFMEU Mining Division.
