National Nature Laws

Our environment laws are broken. They don't protect nature adequately.

The Independent Review of Australia's federal environment laws (The Samuel Review) found that our natural environment is in an overall state of decline and our laws are not fit for purpose. 

The Albanese Government has promised to fix and update Australia’s nature laws. 

Now, the government is drafting them with plans to table them in Parliament in November 2025.

We have a critical opportunity to strengthen these laws with the protections our environment urgently needs.
