New National Parks

The State Government must act now to create a network of new National Parks to protect the Northern Jarrah Forest.

The draft Forest Management Plan for 2024-2033 failed to recommend this, leaving forests covered by mining leases vulnerable to destruction. This is unacceptable.

The Beyond 2024 mapping by Daniel Jan Martin, alongside The Beeliar Group and The Leeuwin Group, sets out a comprehensive proposal for new protected areas - a plan that we strongly support.

You can explore the Beyond 2024 mapping on The Beeliar Group and The Leeuwin Group websites.
