It’s Plastic Free July, and I'm challenging myself to find alternatives to single use plastic for an entire month - and to write a daily blog on the most interesting parts of the experience. Today I wanted to repurpose an old single use plastic container.
Today I finished the last of my frozen leftovers from June, and now I have this single use plastic container. It’s quite pretty with its embossed honeycomb pattern, and combination of matt and gloss black plastic, and I’d like to repurpose it.
What do you think I should do with it? It could be a plant pot or storage container (I kept the lid), and I could paint a solid colour or pattern over it - or leave it black.
I could also turn it upside down and turn it into a house for my rats - as long as they don’t eat it!
A residence for this rat?
How do you repurpose your single use plastic containers?
