From 11am until 4pm on Sun 5 Nov in Forrest Place, the state’s peak environment body the Conservation Council of WA will host LiveLighter Spring Eco Fest 2017.
This is CCWA’s annual free community event to celebrate the environment, connect with the community, and promote sustainable living. Every year, the event’s engaging workshops and unique entertainment attract thousands of visitors.
This year, the event will celebrate CCWA’s 50th Anniversary, and will provide virtual reality headsets to screen Collisions, the Emmy Award winning virtual reality film made here in WA.
Other program highlights include dances from the Whadjuk Yorgas and Baldja Moort, music from Charlie Mgee of Formidable Vegetable Sound System, and Amy Wild Adventures’ popular reptile handling.
Through a wide range of other stalls and workshops, LiveLighter Spring Eco Fest 2017 will promote individual wellbeing, connected communities, and environmental conservation.
The event will encourage positive mental health and physical wellbeing through educating, connecting, and inspiring people to live healthy, active, and more sustainable lifestyles.
CCWA acknowledges the generous support of its naming sponsor Healthway, an initiative of the WA Government’s Department of Health, alongside other sponsors Australian Ethical and Ethical Homeloans.
