The Hills are Alive: Environment and Climate Forum

The forests, wildlife, and waterways of the Perth Hills and surrounds are what make this place so special - but how do we make sure they thrive for generations to come? With the federal election around the corner, now is the time to talk about how we protect what we love so that we can all be proud of the environment we’ll pass on to our kids and grandkids.

This conversation is brought to you by the Conservation Council of WA, the WA Forest Alliance, and the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Join us for a crucial discussion on the future of our environment and climate, featuring federal election candidates Trish Cook (Labor), Mia Davies (Nationals), Matt Moran (Liberal), and Abbey Bishop (Greens). We’ll explore how we can strengthen protections for our forests and urban canopy, secure our water future, address climate impacts on land and in our oceans, and ensure thoughtful planning where nature and community go hand in hand.

What commitments are on the table? What policies will safeguard the landscapes and seascapes we love? And how can we make our voices heard? If you care about the future of this place, this is your chance to be part of the conversation.

Let’s celebrate what makes this place so special, and make sure it continues to thrive.
