BirdLife WA Bird Walk

Travel along Leach Highway and turn north into Pulo Road then turn right into Spinaway Crescent.

This walk follows Bull Creek from the mouth where it runs into Canning River and we should get all the usual water birds there, including crakes, Buff-banded Rail, Purple Swamphen, Musk Duck and Nankeen Night-Heron. We will then cross over Leach Highway to walk around Richard Lewis Park and Reg Bourke Reserve. The creek has flooded gums, Jarrah, Marri, Paperbark and Casuarinas along its banks. Splendid Fairy-wren, Western Wattlebird, White-faced Heron, Red-capped Parrot and Yellow-rumped Thornbill have been recorded here.

Bring water, sun screen and morning tea. Leader - Sue
