Join us and our friends at Save the Black Cockatoos Alliance for a fun craft evening creating Black Cockatoo props.
We’ll create Black Cockatoo wings and other materials to use at future nature-based events.
You can also collect a yard sign at this event! No need to order one, just come along and pick one up.
This is a free event but to make sure we have plenty of materials make sure you get in early and RSVP!
Nature is the true beating heart of Australia.
Yet too many of Australia’s species, ecological communities and ecosystems are at risk of extinction, collapse or ongoing decline and degradation.
- In the South West of WA there are mining threats to the world’s only jarrah forest
- Critical WA Black Cockatoo habitat is being cleared at an alarming rate from forest mining & inappropriate developments
No matter where you stand on the political compass this election, all Australians deserve to know the environment is properly protected.
We have a once in a decade opportunity to strengthen Australia’s nature laws. The Independent Review of Australia's federal environment laws (The Samuel Review) found that our natural environment is in an overall state of decline and our laws are not fit for purpose.
To create the protections we need for our environment and species like the Black Cockatoos we need a strong and independent Environment Protection Authority (EPA). A Federal EPA would step in, ensuring that any project breaking environmental laws and threatening species like the Black Cockatoos faces real scrutiny—and consequences.
