Sue has lived for over 30 years in Dwellingup, and quickly became aware of the ecological damage done by mining and climate change to the integrity of the forest ecosystems. Her long term interest in environmental and climate issues stemmed from her love of the natural environment, and her first degree gave her a background in the biological and natural sciences. Sue's PhD in epidemiology focused on population health issues and honed her conceptual, research, and analytical skills. She brings sound knowledge of the Peel region’s conservation issues as Secretary of the PHCC Board, where she has been the representative to CCWA, and as a committee member of the Dwellingup Discovery Forest Defenders. Sue is an experienced and collaborative contributor to community organisations and has a strong knowledge and awareness of governance in not-for-profits.
