Fairy Tern Conservation in Western Australia

Join CCWA's Citizen Science Manager Claire Greenwell for a presentation about the latest research and on-ground activities being used to protect Australian Fairy Terns in WA.

Claire Greenwell is the Citizen Science manager at the Conservation Council of Western Australia and Convenor of the WA Fairy Tern Network. As part of her work, she engages with land managers, NGO’s, community groups, and citizen scientists across the state to increase protection for Fairy Terns.

Claire recently completed her PhD investigating the life history, ecology and population dynamics of the Australian Fairy Tern and implications for their conservation. She will be presenting findings from her research, and discussing the efforts being made WA Fairy Tern Network to conserve these vulnerable coastal seabirds.

This event is being hosted by Birdlife Bunbury and supported by the Leschenault Catchment Council and South West Science Council.
