Management Strategy for the Australian Fairy Tern
The Australian Fairy Tern (hereafter Fairy Tern) Sternula nereis nereis is a colonial, typically beach-nesting seabird, with populations in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
Breeding sites commonly occur on sand spits or wide sandy beaches near river mouths, within sheltered lagoons or coastal islands, exposing Fairy Terns to a wide range of threats.
