Over the past few months, we’ve seen powerful community calls for climate action in WA, with a record number of appeals against the North West Shelf gas project extension and over a thousand submissions demanding a stronger greenhouse gas policy in our state.
Now our elected members of parliament (MPs) need to hear from you about why we need to stop new and expanded fossil fuel projects in WA and how they can take action in parliament to help make this happen.
We're excited to be partnering with our friends at Citizens' Climate Lobby to give you the skills you need to:
- Schedule a meeting with your MP
- Have constructive conversations about climate action
- Develop an ongoing relationship with your political representative
- Get the most out of your meeting by making a clear ask and having a follow-up plan
Plus, we'll have a fun MP meeting role-play activity (with a former MP) so you can practise your questions and feel prepared for the real thing!
