Volunteer For Nature: Phonebank

Every day, we see the impacts of climate change – but we’re also in the middle of a biodiversity crisis. From endangered black cockatoos, western ringtail possums, and green sea turtles… WA’s nature is in crisis.

And it seems many Australians haven’t yet realised how urgently we need to campaign to protect the species and places we love.

At the heart of this crisis are failing nature laws.

Australia’s environmental laws just aren’t strong enough to stop the destruction of habitat and the pollution driving this crisis.

But that could change… with you on board.

Some of the most important changes to Australia’s environmental laws are happening right now.

The federal government is rewriting Australia’s Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act (our national nature laws), as part of their commitment to 'no new extinctions'.

The federal Environment Minister, Murray Watt, has announced he’ll table new nature laws by the end of this year.

Join us in calling the local community to ensure Western Australians

  1. Are aware these important environmental changes are happening

  2. Can have their say on them

  3. Find out how to get involved in the campaign
