Will you volunteer at Scott Reef Rising on 21 November?
For one unforgettable night, Scott Reef rises from the wild waters of Australia’s northwest and comes alive in the heart of Perth. Giant illuminated sea creatures drift overhead. Music fills the night. Families explore a glowing underwater world.
Scott Reef Rising is a spectacular celebration of a place few will ever see, and a chance for thousands to rise up and help protect it.

To make Scott Reef Rising a success, we have a range of volunteer roles to fill in the lead up to the festival and on the day.
Once you sign up, we’ll give you a call to confirm your role, share next steps, and confirm your size for your free Scott Reef Rising t-shirt.
Will you join us? Here's a rundown of the volunteer roles on the day:
Festival Support 🐠
You’ll be onsite, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your role could include setting up event spaces, providing information to attendees, or assisting artists and speakers.
Conversations to grow the campaign 🐳
In pairs, we’ll chat to festival attendees, share information about Scott Reef, and invite them to get involved in the Save Scott Reef campaign. We want attendees to learn about Scott Reef, why it needs our help, and what we can do to protect it.
Performance Volunteers 🐙
Work with independent theatre troupe Curious Legends to bring Scott Reef to life. Your role on the day could include being part of a special performance, facilitating a creative workshop, or ushering artists. Some performance roles will involve rehearsals in the lead up to the event. Once you sign up, we'll send you a form so Curious Legends can determine your availability and find the best role for you.
Volunteer Packs
The first 100 volunteers to sign up for on-the-day roles will get a Volunteer Pack including a free Scott Reef Rising t-shirt. 👕
