Snap Action - Roger, Don't Cook Nature!

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has delayed introducing the next phase of 'nature positive' laws, casting doubt over whether these laws will pass before a Federal election next year. These critical reforms would introduce a federal environmental watchdog, stop deforestation and help prevent extinctions.

In news last week, it was revealed that WA Premier Roger Cook had called Prime Minister Albanese to oppose the new laws, stepping in on behalf of WA's mining giants.

West Australians were outraged that the Premier spoke up for billionaire
mining magnates instead of people and planet. Following sustained questioning from the media, the Prime Minister is assuring the public the laws are high on his agenda. Now is the time to show the Prime Minister that West Australians want strong nature protections.

Join our friends at The Wilderness Society outside Roger Cook's office on Wednesday 4 December to remind Premier Cook and the Labor government that they were elected on the promise of fixing Australia's environment and climate - and that they work for the people, not billionaire mining magnates.

Let's send a loud and clear message to put nature and climate first. Bring your signs, banners and best chants!

See you there!
