Sustainability in Early Years Settings

This workshop is free to attend and is for early childhood staff from long day care centres, out of school hours care services, family day care services, schools, kindergartens and playgroups.

At this workshop you will be introduced to what sustainability means in an Early Learning service and how it fits in with the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework. As well as considering many aspects of sustainability and exploring topics such as waste and green cleaning, planning framework will be used to connect to your day to day early childhood work. You will receive:

• Practical, real life examples on how to embed sustainability in your service

• Ideas and resources to help your early years service be more sustainable

• Inspiration for involving children in hands-on sustainability activities and routines

• An opportunity to connect with other early years’ service educators and staff in your area

Light meal and refreshments provided.
