Event description:
CCWA and Climate Action Now are proud to present our Swan Candidates Forum for 2022!
With the 2022 Federal Election just around the corner, do you know how the parties and candidates stack up on these environmental and social issues?
Climate change is increasing extreme weather events like bushfires, drought, floods, storms, and heatwaves. It is not only a threat to our environment, it threatens people’s homes, livelihoods, health, quality of life, and employment and increases risks and burdens for future generations.
Come along and hear direct from candidates in the Swan Electorate presenting their party's plans to tackle environmental issues, climate change, the cost of living, affordable housing and poverty at our online webinar and Q&A forum on Wednesday 4 May 2022.
This is your opportunity to ask questions and hear first hand what all sides of politics are doing to ensure action on issues that affect both our people and the planet.
RSVP now to secure your online spot!

We are proudly hosting this event with the Uniting Church Australia (UCA), Western Australian Council of Social Service (WACOSS) and Shelter WA.
Climate Action Now (CAN) is a national initiative by a number of climate organisations, including the Climate Action Network Australia (CANA) and the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). Its aim is simple - to show decision makers that more and more people in Australia support more ambitious climate action.
We respectfully acknowledge that we will be broadcasting this event on unceded Whadjuk Noongar country, and pay our deepest respects to traditional custodians and Elders past and present. We acknowledge and respect the enduring culture of First Nations people in this city and this region, and their contributions to advancing a more sustainable Western Australia.
