You are invited to the inaugural Jungkajungka Woodlands Festival to be held over Easter (Sat 15-Sun 16 April) in Norseman – the Heart of the Great Western Woodlands.
This is Ngadju country and we acknowledge the traditional owners of this part of the Great Western Woodlands and thank them for co-hosting the festival.
The festival theme is “The Great Western Woodlands: Knowledge I Care I Opportunity” and there will be a full program of presentations, workshops, woodland tours and cultural performances.
The Wilderness Society is delighted to announce that the keynote presentation will be provided by Professor Stephen Hopper.
Artgold is delighted to announce the launch of the Goldfields Esperance Arts and Culture Strategic Framework 2017 – 2022.
There will be car-pooling and/or bus options available for people travelling from Perth, Kalgoorlie and Esperance – please contact us for more information. This is a free event including the option of camping at the Norseman Recreation Ground. As hotel/motel accommodation in Norseman is limited we encourage early booking for those wanting that option. We also encourage people to arrive on the Friday if possible – the official opening and Welcome to Country will be 11am on Saturday.
We look forward to seeing you in Norseman for the inaugural Jungkajungka Woodlands Festival!
