Attend an event

We're stronger together. That's why since 1967, we've been bringing passionate people together from all around our state. From workshops and walks, to our Environment Matters series, to our Annual Conference, we help connect the environmental community so that we can support and build on each other's critical conservation and climate work. Whether you're brand new or have been in our community for decades, we're glad you're here and hope to see you at our events soon!

Annual Conference

Our Annual Conference is the flagship event for conservation and climate professionals, volunteers, and the community in Western Australia. This annual gathering is a key opportunity to network, collaborate, and learn from the incredible community dedicated to protecting our unique environment. This year, instead of our usual two-day conference, we're hosting a smaller, one-day Regional Gathering. This format is designed to strengthen regional connections and highlight local perspectives and initiatives. We'll have more information in the coming months, so stay tuned!

Environment Matters

One of our longest-running forums, the Environment Matters series, is held every second month and brings critical conservation and sustainability issues to a public audience. These two-hour seminars typically run on Wednesday evenings and explore a different environmental theme each time, featuring experts and stakeholders from government, industry, and the community. The Environment Matters series provides an engaging forum where the public can hear diverse perspectives, ask questions, and actively contribute to discussions on the environmental challenges shaping our state.

Community Conservation Awards

In 2026, we're celebrating 32 years of Community Conservation Awards, recognising the outstanding environmental achievements made by individuals and community groups across Western Australia. The awards ceremony will be held on Thu 3 Dec at Kidogo Arthouse as part of CCWA's end-of-year celebration. Nominations are now open!
