Eco May

During Eco May, community groups, organisations, schools and councils all over WA are hosting eco-themed activities to enjoy nature, build awareness of special places, campaigns or their organisations, and activate community members to get involved.

Whether your group hosts a film screening in your local hall, a guided walk in your local bushland, a community BBQ or another activity in your local community – we will support your event by listing it on our website, promoting it to CCWA's supporter database and social media followers, as well as pitching stories to the media. You are welcome to turn your event into a fundraising opportunity, either for your own or a local community group, or CCWA.

Getting out into nature, having fun with friends and learning about our environment are great ways to build a stronger community and promote a healthy planet. Eco May was first held by the Conservation Council of WA in 2015, and originally launched as Conservation Week in 2005.

Events do not need to be organised specifically for Eco May, we will list events already planned.

Here are some suggestions if you'd like to organise an event. Give Carolyn or Anna a call or an email if you'd like to discuss further on 08 9420 7266 or [email protected].
